Gene Eades

Melton Eugene Eades, 76, of Liberty, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 15, 2018.

Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late J.W. and Ruth Grant Eades. Gene was a truck driver and worked for a number of years in many different roles until his disability. He loved being outdoors, working in the yard and tinkering with anything. Most of all he loved and adored his family. He was a member of High Praises Church.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Darlene Roper Eades; his children, Kathryn (Ivan) Beaty; JJ (Debbie) Eades; and Travis (Jennifer) Eades; his siblings, Roger Eades, Rick Eades and Glenda Sealey; 4 grandchildren, Jason Beaty, Damien Eades, Isabella Whitmire and Kristin Lamb; and 6 great grandchildren, Ian, Kaitlin, Kaleb, Kaden, Savanah and Wyatt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Eades; and siblings, Gary Eades, Patricia Eades and Ronnie Eades.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1:30pm - 2:45pm at the funeral home.
