GENE N. HEDDEN - Central
Gene Nathaniel Hedden, 68, husband of Peggy Grey Hedden, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at his home. A native of Central he was the son of the late Clyde Olin and Beatrice Denny Hedden. He was a farmer and had been a truck driver at Harmony Blue Granite in Elberton, GA.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Clyde Hedden and wife Leigh of Central, Valdean Hedden and wife Candy of Liberty, Jeff Hedden and wife Pam of Central, and Marcus Hedden and wife Lisa of Salem; daughters, Sybil Capps and husband Coles of Seneca, Opal Crocker and husband Mark of West Union; brothers Buford Hedden and wife Jean of Deltona, FL, Charles Hedden and wife Grace of Anderson; sisters, Syble Murphy and husband Gerald of Sandy Springs, and Mahaley Windom and husband Bruce of Easley. He was predeceased by brothers Alvin Hedden and Joey Hedden; sisters Betty Hamilton and Rachel Hedden.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. The family is at the home 493 Simms School Road, Central, SC 29630.
