Mr. Clifford Eugene Hooper, 67, husband of Julia Saunders Hooper of the home, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, a son of Tilman Perry and Christine Mann Hooper of Easley, Mr. Hooper was retired from textiles, a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church and was a US Army Veteran.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are three sons, Clifford Eugene Hooper II, Christopher Leonard Hooper and Alexander William Hooper and his wife Leeanne Hooper; one brother, Kenny Perry Hooper; five sisters, Linda Marchbanks, Eleanor Sanders, Cathy Phillips, Patsy Medlin and Martha Holliday; and two grandchildren, Devin Levi Sweat, and Nadia Haven Hooper. He was predeceased by a sister, Shirley Mauldin.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Jones Avenue Baptist Church. Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 in the Dolly Cooper Veteran Cemetery, with military honors.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
