Henry Eugene "Gene" Jones, 68 of Easley, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Pickens County, he was a son of the late Rev. Henry T. and Lila Bell Rampey Jones. Gene was a retired maintenance supervisor at Albany International and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner.

Surviving are two daughters, Tina Long and husband, Stephen, of Anderson, and Tammy Gilreath and husband, Dewayne, of Easley; brothers, Doug Jones (Michelle) of Slab Town and Thomas Jones (Vivian) of Liberty; sisters, Diane McCoy of Johns Island, Joyce Allen (Preston) of Easley; and Cindy Childress (Phil) of Easley; grandchildren, Japheth Gilreath, Breanna Long, Nathan Gilreath, Joseph Long, Samuel Gilreath and great-granddaughter, Skylyn Gilreath.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Williams Jones, and by two sisters, Georgia Phillips and Carolyn Virginia Jones.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.

The family is at the home of Tammy and Dewayne Gilreath, 105 Greenvale Drive, Easley, SC 29640.
