Eugene Michael "Gene" Krenek, 75, of 102 Buckingham Court, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010, at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Chicago, a son of the late Otto and Sophie Safranski Krenek, Mr. Krenek was formerly plant manager for Platt-Saco Lowell Corp., and served in the US Marine Corps Reserve.
Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Kee Krenek of the home; a son, Peter Krenek (Lori) of Spartanburg; a daughter, Elizabeth Jarrard (Bill) of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Elaine Krenek of Aurora, IN; and six grandchildren, Jordan, Alyssa, Libby and Will Jarrard and Casey and Cooper Krenek. In addition to his parents, Mr. Krenek was predeceased by a brother, Mel Krenek.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010, in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
The family is at the residence.
