General Lee Guy, 96, husband of the late Mary Cole Guy, died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the National Health Care in Anderson. Mr. Guy was born in Inman, SC, the son of the late J. C. and Emma Hitt Guy. He was a lifelong resident of Clemson and worked for 37 years as high voltage electrician for Clemson University. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist church in Clemson.

He is survived by son, Larry G. Guy and wife Jan of Camden, SC; daughters, Joan G. Crawford and husband Jim of Anderson and Martha G. Vernon and husband Mance of Anderson; grandsons Jay Crawford and wife Heather of Anderson and Josh Crawford of Anderson and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of 3 East, 6 South, ICU of AnMed Health System, the staff of NHC rehab center and Drs. Wilson Sofley, Jim Foster, Marshal Meadows and nurse practitioner, Angela Reeves.

Funeral services will be 3pm Saturday at the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home in Central. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Shiloh Road, Seneca, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 2pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Anderson Interfaith Ministries, 1202 South Murray Ave., Anderson, SC 29624.

In addition to his wife of 62 years and his parents he was preceded in death by brother, James Jeffrey Guy; sisters, Inez Guy Stinnett, Willie Mae Guy York and Pearl Guy Duncan, infant son, Jimmy Lee Guy and grandson, Larry Jason Guy.
