Geneva Stargel Lynn, 85, of Easley, wife of the late LeRoy Lynn, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009, at the McCall Hospice House.

Born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Virgil and Blanche Stargel, Mrs. Lynn was a homemaker and an active member of First Baptist Church, Easley.

She was the loving mother of two sons, Fred Lynn and wife, Joni, of Hartsville, and Stevie Lynn of Whitten Center; two daughters, Carol Gambrell of Greenville, and Karen Mann and husband, Coye, of Easley. She is also survived by five cherished grandchildren, Wendy Gambrell Shuler, Josh Gambrell, Daniel Gambrell, Christi Lynn, and McKenzie Mann; and three great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Julia and Abe Shuler .

Mrs. Lynn was a long time avid advocate for Special Needs and Disabilities.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown and will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Saturday where the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the narthex of the church prior to the service.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Jeffrey Giguere and to the McCall Open Arms Hospice.

The family would also like to request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitten Center Parents Club, 304 Dixon St., Clinton, SC 29325.

The family is at the home of Karen and Coye Mann, Easley.
