George Robert Colborn

Mr. George Robert Colborn, 56, husband of Jackie Ramey Colborn, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026.

Born in Heidelberg, Germany, a son of Arthur Lee Colborn of Aberdeen, NC and the late Peggie Feller Colborn, Mr. Colborn was a graduate of Hoke High School where he excelled in football and attended the University of North Carolina-Pemboke where he belonged to the Phi Kappa Tau Faternity. He retired from BASF with twenty-four years of service.

George had a love for music, football and trips to the beach with his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and poppy. His family was his life. He will be deeply missed by all that loved and knew him.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of twenty-four years, and his father, are his daughters, Courtney Moser (Kevin), and Charlotte Pace (Allen), both of Pickens; his brother, Ralph Colborn (Missy) of Garner, NC; his sisters, Peggie Wilson (Dan) of Pinehurst, NC, and Brittanie Malhe (Justin) of Aberdeen, NC; six grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Mr. Colborn was predeceased by a sister, Mariah Gordon.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley.
