George William Dickard

BILL DICKARD, Central

George William "Bill" Dickard, 89, widow of Decie Gillespie Dickard, died May 26, 2006 at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Oconee County, he was a son of the late James Earl and Maggie Orr Dickard. Mr. Dickard retired from LaFrance Industries and was an Army Veteran of WWII where he served in Japan. He was a member of Refuge Baptist Church and also enjoyed his hobby has a bee keeper.
Survivors: brothers, Milton and Bruce Dickard both of Walhalla; sisters, Bertha Lee of Walhalla and Peggy Quarles of West Union. He was predeceased by one brother, Lloyd Dickard and two sisters, Pauline Alexander and Carrie Patton.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11am in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery. Ministers will be Rev. Joe Pace and Rev. Bob Dickard.
The body is at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-7pm Sunday.
