George Mackey Godfrey, 57, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Born on May 22, 1966, in Greenville County, he was a son of James Ray “Jim” Godfrey of Norris and the late Judy Cantrell Godfrey.

Mackey was employed with Sealed Air in Simpsonville. He enjoyed hunting and listening to old rock and roll music. He was a US Army Veteran and attended Jones Hill Church of God.

In addition to his father, Mackey is survived by his children, Michael Elijah Godfrey and Alyssa Abigail “Abby” Godfrey both of Liberty; and a brother, James Ray Godfrey, III (Sandra) of Easley.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 6, 2024, from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
