George E. Hart, Jr.

George Edward Hart, Jr., 79 passed away peacefully Thursday January 7, 2021 at a Greenville hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL December 31, 1941, the only child of George Edward and Catherine Reid Hart. He was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Clemson.
George grew up in Chicago, graduating from Notre Dame High School, class of 1961. He then moved to Miami, FL where he was a construction project engineer for numerous projects in the Miami area. He resided in Miami for 30 years, after which he moved to Clemson. George loved college sports, especially Clemson Football.
He is survived by his wife, Diane of Clemson; his two sons, Christopher and his wife, Lisa, and their two children, Meghan and Anderson, all of Wellesley, MA, and Ryan and his two children, Patrick and Catherine, all of Norfolk, VA. He was predeceased by his parents.
There will be a private funeral Mass for the family.
His body will lie in state Monday, January 11th from 12 noon until 4:30 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Rd., Central.
