Clemson
George Mitchell Mauldin, 83, died Friday, March 19. 2010. A native of Clemson he was the son of the late Joseph F. and Eva Powers Mauldin. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service and also from the S. C. Army National Guard. He was a member of the Clemson United Methodist Church.
He is survived by sisters, Helen M. Stevens of Central and Robbie F. Mauldin of Clemson brother Thomas H. Mauldin and his wife Robbye of Clemson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Gaines Smith, James, Jack, John and Joe Mauldin and sisters Bessie M. Black and Doretta M. Byrd.
A committal service will be held 10:30am Monday at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central followed by a memorial service at 11am in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clemson United Methodist Church, PO Box 590, Clemson, SC 29633 or to the charity of one's choice.
