Born in Hinsdale, IL, the son of the late George E. and Esther Mansfield Petitt, Sr., Mr. Petitt retired as a farmer and machinist.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, George E. and Cecile Petitt, III, of Cateechee, Charles W. and Dawn Petitt of Winston-Salem, NC and Roy J. and Sheila Petitt of Pickens; a sister, Tish Borjeson of Bonita Springs, FL, and five grandchildren.
No public services are planned.
