George Harold Wyatt, 87, of River Road, husband of the late Faye Annette Huff Wyatt, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his home.
Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Willie Thompson Wyatt and Ethel Attaway Wyatt.
Mr. Wyatt was retired from Anderson County School District 1 and was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and enjoyed gardening, watching Fox News, tractors, animals and in his earlier years, riding motorcycles. He also was a US Marine Veteran who was selected to serve stateside, training other recruits for the Korean War.
Surviving are his children, George H. Wyatt, Jr. (Karen) of Piedmont and Gretchen Wyatt Craig (Greg) of Easley; grandchildren, Sydney Katherine Wyatt, Hannah Blake Wyatt, Rachel Yuki Wyatt and Alan George Wyatt Craig; a sister, Anne Gibson of Easley; and brothers, Gerald Wyatt of Easley and James Wyatt of Nokesville, VA.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by brothers, W.T. Wyatt, and Marion Oliver Wyatt; and sisters, Kathleen Wyatt Albright, Doris Wyatt Massengale, Laura Wyatt Noble and Sara Wyatt Brown.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 3:30 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Reverend Dr. Rodney Powell officiating. Burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 2:00 PM until 3:15 PM at the funeral home.
