George Wyss

George Wyss, 82, of Clemson, husband to Uschy Bühler Wyss, passed away September 18, 2025.

Born in Büron in the Canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, George was the son of the late Isidor Wyss and HedwigGautschi Wyss. He grew up to be an engineer, and his sense of adventure led him to the US where he met his wife Uschy. Moving back to Switzerland with his young family, he worked many years for Reishauer Corporation and traveled the world. He later retired as the head of the Reishauer branch in Elgin, IL. Mr. Wyss enjoyed skiing, bicycling, playing tennis and hiking; he was interested in automotive technology and car racing, and always up for a cup of coffee and a piece of cake with friends or family.

He is survived by his wife, Uschy Wyss; son, Stefan Wyss and his wife April of San Marco, TX; daughter, Tatjana Mai-Wyss and her husband Joseph Mai of Clemson; grandchildren, Serena Wyss, Louisa Mai, and Nora Mai; and sisters, Erika Brunner and Lorly Zemp of Switzerland.
