Georgia Lou (Franklin) Olsson, 94, formerly of Clemson, SC and Nashua, NH, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2019, in Seneca, SC after a brief illness.
She was born in Manhattan, Kansas, a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Mattie M. (May) Franklin. She was a graduate of Cornell University.
Georgia was a preschool teacher before raising her family. She later worked with the State of NH as a social worker.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Nashua and she enjoyed volunteering for local and national organizations. An avid reader, she was a member of several book clubs. Her interests included travel, knitting, swimming, playing bridge, and birdwatching during her daily walks. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by daughters Gwen (Frank) Garland of Central, SC, Michelle (Charles) Wall of Littleton, CO, Lynne (Michael) Hujsak of Amherst, NH; son-in-law Gregory Coronis of Tubac, AZ; sister, Donna Perry of Patchogue, NY; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Coronis; brother, Ralph E. Franklin, Jr.; sister, Jeanne Shannon; and a grandson, Michael Coronis.
Georgia's family is most grateful for the comfort and care provided by Lila Doyle Skilled Nursing Center in Seneca, SC.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
