Geraldine Rice Bell

February 22, 1945 — September 15, 2021

Geraldine Rice Bell, 76, wife of Charles Bell, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Born in Greenville, a daughter of the late Robert James Rice and the late Alice Kuykendall Rice, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed painting river rocks, fishing, and spending time with her family. She worked as an inserter for the Greenville News for fifteen years and she was a member of Grove Road Baptist Church in Greenville.

Surviving, in addition to her husband of fifty-nine years, are daughters, Karen Turner (Wade) of Powdersville and Tracy Harris (Ricky) of Greenville; a sister, Peggy Wallace (Dan) of Easley; grandchildren, Stephanie, Kensie, Chad, Robert, Autumn, Marissa, Abby, Grace, Kacie, Kayla, Samantha, and Josh; seventeen great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Charlie.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Steve Bell; a brother, Bobby Rice; and a sister, Carolyn O'Shields.

The family will host a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 242 Old Grove Road, Greenville , SC 29605.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 242 Old Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
