Geraldine Thorton "Jerry" Smith

Geraldine Thornton “Jerry” Smith, 91, of Liberty, wife of the late Carmon Coolidge Smith, passed away March 30, 2022.

Born in Wayne County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Francis Holland Thornton.  Mrs. Smith retired as a butcher from Patrick’s IGA and was a member of Cannon Baptist Church.  She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and cooking.  One of her greatest joys was being with and loving her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Moore and husband David of Liberty; grandchildren, Holly Hall and husband Greg and Ashley Moore and wife Lauren; great-grandchildren, Grayson Hall (Audrey Ducker), Emma Moore, Savannah Hall, Andrew Hall and Isaac Hall; sister, Novadeen Kicklighter of K’ville, GA.  Jerry is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, parents, son, James Adrian Smith and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Kings Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
