Gertrude Carolyn "Nan" Schmidt died on November 20, 2007 at age 90. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Henry Schmidt and daughter Audrey Gertrude Lund. Surviving are daughter Gloria Schmidt Paul, son-in-law Thomas Paul, grandchildren Laurie Paul, June Paul, Sandra Paul, Debra Chambers, Diane Weber, Hunter Lund, adopted grandson Steven Paul and eight great-grandchildren.
She will be privately interred at Mt. Royal Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.
It is the request of the family that there be no flowers. Memorial contributions may be sent to OMH Hospice of the Foothills Foundation, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672.
