Gertrude "Trudy" Thompson Tarbox, 91, formerly of the Boscobel community in Pendleton and widow of Phillip B. Tarbox, died Monday, March 4, 2012 at the Sterling House in Central.
Born in Berlin, MA she was a daughter of the late Frank and Aleada MacNeil Thompson. She was a retired office manager of Boscobel Country Club and a member of Pendleton First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Diane Tarbox of Anderson; grandchildren, Paul Boggs of Mobile, AL, Chris Boggs Abita Springs, LA, David Michael Tarbox of Savannah, GA, Deborah Gibson of Hopkinsville, KY, Tamara Tarbox of Austin, TX and David Phillip Tarbox of Anderson; 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Trudy was predeceased by her son, David Phillip Tarbox; and daughter, Judy Boggs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced by Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central, SC.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
