Gilmore Wallace, Jr., 69, husband of Carmen Douglas Wallace, passed away Friday, July 25, 2014 at Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens.
Born in Darlington, to the late Gilmore Sr., and Juanita Green Wallace, "Gil" was a graduate of Rosenwald High School and went on to work for American Brass in Ansonia, CT. He enjoyed fishing and listening to "oldies" music, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Roderick Wallace of PA, Markeith Douglas and his wife Linda of Lyman and Christopher Douglas and his fianc� Robin Lee of Pendleton; two daughters, Chavon Douglas and her fianc� Joseph Payne of Easley and Kimberly Douglas of Easley; two brothers, Roy Wallace of Darlington and Richard Wallace of Waterbury, CT; fifteen grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, along with other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be noon Saturday, August 2, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at their respective residences/ the residence.
