Gladys Watkins Cape, 77, formerly of Easley and widow of Carl W. Cape, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 in Mauldin, SC.

Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. John and Mary Elizabeth Harvey Watkins.

She was a retired Merchandise Manager with Garrett's Department Store and a member of Easley Church of God where she was a member of the Carl W. Cape Sunday School Class.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie C. Lyles and her husband, Oby of Simpsonville, SC; a grandson, Garrison Lyles; and 2 brothers, Carl Watkins and Edward Watkins both of Easley. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Dr. David Sustar and Reverend Grover Putnam officiating. Entombment will follow the service in the Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642.

Visitation will be 2:30 to 3:15 PM Sunday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oby G. Lyles, 309 Red Fern Trail, Simpsonville, SC 29681.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
