Gladys Crisp Howard, 85, of 115 Doelling Court, went to be with the Lord Friday May 16, 2008 at McCall Hospice House.
Mrs. Howard was born in Graham County, N.C., a daughter of the late Posey E. and Flora Markham Crisp. In her youth, she was an avid softball fan and was invited to play professionally. She was a dietician for many years at Saint Francis Hospital in Greenville. Mrs. Howard was a faithful member of Tremont Church of God where she was active in Senior Adult Ministries and the Prayer Band.
Surviving are her son, Danny Howard and his wife, Sheila, of Easley ; daughters, Phyllis Ruffman and her husband, Matt, of Taylors and Diane Alexander and her husband, Roy, of Greenville ; a brother, Dean Crisp and his wife, Sue, of Greenville ; sisters, Myrtle Loftis and Naomi White, both of Greenville and Shelby Hanna and her husband, Tommy, of Piedmont ; grandchildren, Brian McSwain, Shane Howard, Scott Dean, Trent Alexander and Kristy Tarallo ; and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Walter Lee Howard.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Monday at Tremont Church of God with burial to follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, Easley.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends Monday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM at the church.
