Gladys Ruth Dickard Owens, 80, wife of the late Harold Eugene Owens, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 9, 2020. Harold and Gladys Owens were married on March 5, 1960 and were married for fifty-two years until Mr. Owens passed away in 2012.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late W.C. Dickard and the late Nettie Evans Dickard, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Easley.
Surviving are a son, Mark Owens of Easley; a daughter, Cyndi Stewart of Williamston; a granddaughter, Crystal Beacham of Williamston; and great-grandchildren, Madi and Kai Beacham of Williamston.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by eight brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens. The service will be limited to no more than 50 people, including family and staff members.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service. Visitors will be able to speak with the family in intervals of no more than four people at this time.
