Gladys Davis Pressley, 93, of Abbeville, formerly of East Second St., Easley, wife of the late Heyward Pressley, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born November 25, 1921 in Six Mile, she was a daughter of the late Rev. James and Etta Owens Davis. Mrs. Pressley retired in 1986 from the Pickens County School System and was a longtime member of Easley First Baptist Church. She loved and was very faithful to her church and was a member of the Yellow Jasmine Garden Club.

Mrs. Pressley is survived by her children, Danny Pressley and Donna Pressley Aleman (Moses); sisters, Florence Sargent and Alta Mae Bowen; brother, Rev. Larry Davis (Bo); grandchildren, Christopher Aleman (Maggie), Jonathan Aleman (Tanya), Patrick Aleman (Katie) and Julie Pressley; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Jonathan, Jr., LilyAnn, Ally Grace, Lucinda and Skyler.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Frank Davis and Jim Davis; and sisters, Lois Gillespie, Betty Atkinson and Mary Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
