Mrs. Gladys Smith Ragsdale, 94, wife of the late Harry Harrison Ragsdale, formerly of The Willows and 102 Freeman Road, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012.

Born February 27, 1918, in the Ruhamah Community of Liberty, a daughter of the late William Stephen and Margaret Cantrell Smith, Mrs. Ragsdale retired from Swirl, Inc. and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Ida Looper Sunday School Class.

Surviving are many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ragsdale was predeceased by a son, Donald Ragsdale, five brothers and three sisters. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Family members are at their respective homes.
