Gladys Miller Tanner, 88, formerly of East 3rd Street and more recently The Willows, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 4, 2006, at Oakmont Nursing Center.

Born in Calhoun County, GA, Ms. Tanner was the daughter of the late George Henry and Louella Porter Miller. She was a retired beautician and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Shelba and Jim Head of Easley and Donna and John Hall of Greenville; two brothers, Billy Grant and Cody Miller, both of Easley; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Ms. Tanner was predeceased by two brothers George and Paul Miller; and a sister, Velvia Miller.

Funeral services will be 3:30 P.M. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:30 P.M. Monday prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Hill Baptist Church, 501 Rampey Street, Easley, S.C. 29640.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Shelba Head, 304 Ross Avenue, Easley, S.C. 29640.
