Gladys Taylor Walton, 90, of 1109 Blount Road, wife of the late Rev. Thomas Alexander Walton, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Marvin and Rosella Christopher Taylor, Mrs. Walton was a retired seamstress and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, Belton.

Surviving are one son, Marvin Walton (Opal) of Belton; a daughter, Nadine Messer (Marvin) of Seneca; a sister, Louise Pitts of Greenville; a daughter-in-law, Becky Walton; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Walton was predeceased by a son, Johnny Walton; a brother, Marvin Taylor and her granddaughter, Tina Dawn Messer.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Seneca.

Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at the funeral home.
