Glenda Mae Stone Chappell

Glenda Mae Stone Chappell, 75, of Liberty, wife to the late Harold Chappell, passed away April 3, 2026.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Willie Talmadge Stone and Essie Mae Norris Stone. Mrs. Chappell retired from Glen Raven Mill in Anderson following many years of service. She was an active member of Central Church of God, where she led Bible study groups. Glenda enjoyed being outside in her garden or feeding birds. Her greatest joy in life was her family and her church. She was a godly woman who loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Bradley Chappell and Kevin Chappell, both of Liberty; grandchildren, Jacob Chappell and wife, Joanne and Joshua Chappell; great-grandchild, Raven Chappell; sister, Juanita Neely and husband, Wayne; special niece, Pam Haselton.

Mrs. Chappell is predeceased by her parents, husband, and siblings, David Stone, Felton Stone, and Carolyn Carter.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 10, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Central, SC.
