Mr. Glenn Harold Chambers, 79, husband of the late Louise Millwood Cox, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Majesty Health and Rehab in Easley.
Born in Oconee County, to the late John H. and Loue Holcomb Chambers, Glenn was a hard working man who loved his family and friends. After his retirement from skilled maintenance, Mr. Chambers spent most his time catching up with his friends and family.
He is survived by two sons, Richard Chambers, of GA and Larry Cox, of Lavonia, GA; three daughters, Virginia Cox, of Townville, Carol Jarrell, of Pendleton and Catherine Dobbs, of Dallas, GA; three sisters, Mary Ann Risner, of Hartwell, GA, Edith Mashburn, of LaFrance and Frances Shead, of Six Mile; twelve grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Chambers was predeceased by two sisters, Annie Mae Todd and Martha McGaha.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with the Reverend Roger Todd officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 P.M. until 1:45 P.M. Saturday, prior to the service at the church.
The family is at the home of his daughter, Virginia Cox.
