Glenn L. Griffin, 81, of 186 Griffin Road, died Monday, January 15, 2007.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late George Edgar and Lola Harris Griffin. A graduate of Greenville High School, he was retired from Sherill Industries of Gastonia, NC and for the past 16 years was the CEO of Greystone Industries, Inc. of Easley. He was a member of Griffin Baptist Church, Gideons International, an avid golfer and a US Navy veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Simmons Griffin of the home; two sisters, Elizabeth G. Dickson, Vivian G. Garrett both of Greenville; five nephews, Philip Hendricks, Stuart Simmons, Billy Dickson, Michael Dickson, Jerry Garrett; three nieces, Paula Reinovsky, Robin Heater, Glenda Cashner; and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with Reverend Terry Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International; PO Box 1625; Easley, SC 29641.
