Glenn James Hill, 61, husband of Melissa Ramage Hill, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at his residence. A native of Central he was the son of James Henry and Helen Rampey Hill. He was a Vietnam veteran, a member of the American Legion and was a volunteer fireman. He loved fishing and go-kart racing and was a former member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church of Anderson.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by step-sons: Jerry and J.T. Brown of the home; daughters: Melissa Benjamin and husband Albert of New York and Crystal Laber and husband Martin of Greer, brother: Ronnie Hill and wife Jenni of Pendleton and a granddaughter: Dorian Laber. He was predeceased by a son, James Gregory Hill.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home on Thursday at 3pm. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 1-3pm prior to the service. There will be a private committal service at a later date.
