Glenn S. Holcombe

Glenn Sylvester Holcombe, 82, of Chrysler Street, peacefully went to Heaven on Sunday May 24, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends as they were singing Amazing Grace.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Reverend George Holcombe and Ila Patterson Holcombe.
Glenn was retired from Ryobi in Pickens and was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War.
He dearly loved his family, especially his wife, daughter, and son-in-law, Mike Brooks and always had a smile on his face.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Ann Chapman Holcombe; a daughter, Pam Holcombe Brooks (Mike) of Easley; two step grandchildren, Matthew Brooks and Landan Brooks; and his ten siblings, Helen Ellenburg, Hershel Holcombe (Sue), Evelyn Gilstrap (James), Betty Jo Whitlock (Milton), Roberta Pace (Waymon), Dwight Holcombe (Iva), Doug Holcombe, Jerry Holcombe (Margaret), Linda McCall (James) and Darlene Madden (Wayne).
In addition his his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Gregory Scott Holcombe and a brother-in-law, Jimmy Ellenburg.
A service to celebrate Glenn's life will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
