Glenn Ernest Long, Sr., 82, husband of Alline Barton Long, went home to be with his Lord and Savior April 22, 2018.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late Delton V. and Nellie Peay Long.
Glenn retired from Torrington and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and the Inspiration Sunday School Class.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 61 years, are his children, Glenn Ernest Long, Jr., and his wife Kristi; Cindy Long Williams and her husband Jimmy; and Sharon Long Lemere and her husband Lee, all of Easley; his brother, Maurice Long, of Seneca; 13 grandchildren, Kevin Lemere (Allison), Ryan Lemere (Hannah), Shannon Lemere (Allison), Cameron Lemere, Laura Lemere, Jimmy Williams, Jr. (Bethani), Ashleigh Aiken (Cameron), Allie Finley (Brett), Brenden Long, Graham Long (Ashley), Christian Long, Charley Long and DJ Davatchi; and 5 great grandchildren, Britton Lemere, Braelyn Lemere, Brooklyn Lemere, Riley Lemere and Emerson Long.
In addition to his parents, Glenn was predeceased by his sister, Juanita Long and his brothers, Frank Long and Harold Long.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00pm at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 - 1:45pm at the church.
