Gloria Geraldine Young Guide, 82, of 100 Cardinal Drive and the wife for over 52 years of Vincent D. R. Guide, died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Rome, GA, a daughter of the late Roy O. and Christine Ellison Young, she was a homemaker and a very active member and Sunday School teacher of First Baptist Church of Clemson.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son, Dan Guide and wife, Michele, of State College, PA; one daughter, Christine Montgomery and husband, Jeff, of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Andrew, Ryan and Anthony Guide, Rob and Will Montgomery.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Evelyn Rosson.
A Private commital service will be held at Woodland Cemetery on the campus of Clemson University.
The family will greet friends at their home from 3 to 5 PM, Thursday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631.
