Golda R. Noblitt

December 3, 1931 — August 6, 2020

Golda R. Noblitt, 88, passed away peacefully Thursday August 6, 2020. She was born December 3, 1931 in Madison County, North Carolina, a daughter of Everett and Wavel Franklin Rice. Golda was a long-time member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Central.

After attending schools in Madison County, Golda went on to further her education at Central Wesleyan University, graduating in the class of 1972. She earned her Master's degree in Education from Clemson University in 1976. Golda taught school in Liberty, South Carolina her entire career, retiring in October 1993 after 22 years of service.

Golda is survived by her son, Steve Noblitt (Rebecca) of Easley; her daughter, Katie Jerolamon (Tim) of Clemson; three grandchildren, Mike Jerolamon (Jenny), Lisa Hill (John), and Joseph Noblitt; two brothers, Mac Rice and Harlon Rice; four sisters, Rozella Ramsey, Dora Ann Rice, Othello Ogle, and Karen Buff; and her little dog, Lulu. In addition to her parents, Golda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ned and a brother, J. V. Rice.

Friends may visit the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home at 108 Cross Creek Rd., in Central on Wednesday, August 12 from 12:00 – 4:30 PM to view and sign the register book.

There will be a private graveside service for the family.

Those who wish to remember Golda in a special way may make memorial donations in her name to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 186, Central, SC 29630.
