Grace R. Carman

Grace Rampey Carman, 91, of 102 Nancy Drive and widow of George W. Carman Sr., died, Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late James D. and Addie Cantrell Rampey.
She was a retired employee of Swirl Inc. and was a volunteer for over 8 years with Palmetto Health Baptist of Easley. She was an active member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church where she was a member of the Naomi Sunday School Class.
Surviving are, three daughters, Grace Ann Davis and husband Winder of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Lynn Owens of Blythewood, SC and Brenda Merck and husband Craig of Easley; a son, George W. (Bud) Carman of Easley; 2 sisters, Dot Carman of Easley and Hazel Merrill of Greenville; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, Jerry Owens and 2 sisters, Alta Wood and Catherine Stephens.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer and Rev. Rodney Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 PM, Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
