Grace Luellen Ramey Dare, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, December 3, 2023.  

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late William Anderson Ramey and the late Mamie Summers Ramey, Luellen was a graduate of Dacusville High School and attended Greenville Technical College. She retired from Alice Manufacturing Company-Ellison Plant and was a member of Keowee Church of God.

Luellen was a woman of strong faith and worked hard to support the family she dearly loved. Her home was always full of children she loved, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are her two sons, Brian Dare, and Michael Dare (Maelee), both of Pickens; one brother, Mike Ramey (Geraldine) of Dacusville; one sister, Dellie Bridges of Dacusville; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Luellen was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Austin; three sons, William Austin, Timmy Austin and Phillip Austin; four brothers, Eugene Ramey, Curtis Ramey, Horace Ramey and Lewis Ramey; and five sisters, Nellie Moon, Jane Arnold, Frances Holbrooks, Etta Ramey and Thelma Gantt.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 PM Thursday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the graveside service.
