Grace Leona Chastain Field, 82, of 216 Hagood Park Drive, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010, at Countryside Village.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Julius and Pearl Chapman Chastain, Mrs. Field retired from Palmetto Health Baptist (now Baptist Hospital Easley) and was a member of First Baptist Church, Easley, where she belonged to the Philathea Sunday School Class.

Surviving are her husband, Ben Frank Field of the home; two daughters, Linda Lesley and husband, Ron, of Easley, and Donna Cox and husband, Dan, of Camden; three sisters, Ethel Lesley of White Plains, Connie Gaillard of Easley, and Nellie McGuire of Anderson; and six grandchildren, Shannon Garrick, Tarah Galloway, Chase Galloway, Monica Childs, Brandon Cox and Bradley Cox. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Field was predeceased by two brothers, Roy Chastain and Paul Chastain, and by two sisters, Mabel Watson and Arie Gaines.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640 or to SouthernCare Hospice, 6000 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29615.

The family is at the home of Linda and Ron Lesley, 109 Washington Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.
