Grace Holder Medlin, 89, widow of F. A. Medlin, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Ellenburg Nursing Home. Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Joel and Caroline Beard Holder.
Survivors: sons, Earl Atkins and his wife Mary, Pendleton, Major Atkins and his wife Linda, Pendleton, Toby Atkins and his wife Ruby, Townville; step daughter, Ethel Norris, Pickens; brother, John Holder, Travelers Rest; sisters, Cressie Parker, Travelers Rest, Ann Crapanga, CA, Edna Doughman, OH, Sue Davis, Pickens; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Calvin Atkins; daughter, Jean Wardlaw and a son, Ernest Atkins.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 2pm at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:30-8pm at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of her son, Major Atkins, 923 Chester Circle, Pendleton, SC.
