Grace Hendrix Pitts, 88, of 103 North B Street, wife of the late William Thomas "Bill" Pitts, died Thursday, January 7, 2010, at Baptist Hospital Easley.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Forrest and Exie Reid Hendrix, Mrs. Pitts retired as the bookkeeper for R.C. McCall Company and was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she belonged to the Ladies Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Becky Shaffer and husband, Larry, of Columbia; three grandchildren, Chris Mann and wife, Stephanie, and Jennifer Jennings and husband, Brent, all of Easley, and Regis Shaffer and wife, Pam, of Pickens; six great-grandchildren, Emily Mann, Christopher Mann, Anna Jennings, Savanah Shaffer, Sydney Shaffer and Chase Shaffer, and a niece, Nancy West and husband, Charles, of Liberty. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Pitts was predeceased by a sister, Fae Pitts.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Greg Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m Sunday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the residence.
