Grace Breazeale Porter, widow of Roscoe Porter, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at home. Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Earley Breazeale and Maude Stansell and step-daughter of Iren Newton Breazeale.
Mrs. Porter was a member of the 1931 graduating class of Pickens High School and a member of Porter Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Elbert (Dock) Porter of Easley, and Ronnie Porter of Pickens; two daughters, Linda Childress and Doris Hamby both of Pickens; two sisters, Josephine Walker of Columbia and Rose Hudson of Alabama; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and a special friend and care-taker, Edna Lollis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The body is at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service.
