Grace Roper Ramey

Grace Roper Garrett Ramey, 95, passed away December 7, 2007 at the Hospice House in Anderson, S.C. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, SC. Grace was born in Cleveland, GA, April 15, 1912, the daughter of the late A. J. Roper and Millie Shuler Roper.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce Garrett Wilson and husband Jerome of Chester, SC.; son, James A. Garrett and wife Sara of Southern Pines, NC and daughter-in-law, Betty Orr Garrett Justice of Salem, SC; sister, Etta Roper Cason of Piedmont, SC; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Leonard J. Garrett, Sr. and Fate Ramey; her son, Leonard J. Garrett, Jr. and 2 grandsons. The family requests that memorials be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
