Grace Smith Towe

Grace Smith Towe, 88, of Clemson, wife of the late Billy Towe, passed away to her heavenly home March 29, 2023.

Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Mack and Vera Smith. Grace graduated from Central Wesleyan College and was the Town Clerk for the City of Central for thirty five years. After retiring from the city she worked as an accountant and also was a musician for several churches in the area. Grace was a member of East Clemson Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, crossword puzzles, drawing, coloring, and most of all loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Frederick Towe; Lacey, Lucy, and James Land; brother, Leon Smith and wife Jane; brothers-in-law, Wayne Miller and Bob Towe; sister-in-law, Doris Smith; grandchildren, Brittany Towe and Logan Towe. Grace is also survived by a great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family would like to thank Jackie James for her care provided to Grace over the years.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Old Stone Church Cemetery.
