Grady Lamar Black, 74 of Amsterdam Road, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022.
Born in Abbeville, SC, he was a son of the late Grady Levi Black and Eunice Watt Black.
Mr. Black was retired from Pratt Contractors in Greenville. He was a simple man who loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was an active member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Easley.
Surviving is his loving wife, Linda Patterson Black; his children, Tracy Wiles (Anthony) of Liberty, Randy Black (Teressa) of Cleveland, SC, and Marlinda Bagwell of Liberty; stepchildren, John Watkins (Rhonda) of Pelzer, Carla McAlister (Allen) of Easley, Valerie Hughes (Thomas) of Piedmont and Julie Patterson (Allen) of Pickens; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; brothers, Larry Black of Liberty and Ronnie L. Black of McCormick; and a sister, Marsha Rivera of Easley.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Jo Simmons.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 126 Randall Road, Easley, SC 29642. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Flowers will be accepted.
