Grady Welman Cooley, 75, husband of Dorothy Faye Leach Cooley, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Countryside Village.

Born in Greenville County, SC, a son of the late Vance Grady and Jessie Davenport Cooley, Mr. Cooley was retired from AT&T / Lucent Technologies, was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Geer Memorial Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years, are a son, Daryl Cooley (Lynn), of Pickens; a daughter, Karen Estridge (Ed), of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Edward J. Cooley, of Easley, Leon M. Cooley, of Pelzer and Jim M. Cooley, of Piedmont; two sisters, Sylvene Massey, of Greenville and Linda Oliver, of Piedmont; two grandchildren, Madison Cooley and Chris Estridge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth R. Cooley and Ronald V. Cooley.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown with the Reverend Phillip McAlister and Dr. Glen Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Members of the Eads Sunday School Class are invited to serve as Escort of Honor at the funeral service.

Visitation will be from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.

The family is at the residence.
