Grady Lee Poole, 91, Seneca, passed away on July 6, 2026. Grady was born in Habersham, GA, to the late Ralph and Ethel Poole.
Grady was a proud veteran, having served his country in the Navy for four years. Following his military service, Grady built a successful career as a manager in the textile industry, where his leadership and work ethic earned the respect of his colleagues.
Outside of his professional achievements, Grady cherished the activities and passions that brought him joy. He had a lifelong love of fishing and took great delight in watching sports. Grady’s faith was an important cornerstone of his life. He was a member of Utica Baptist Church, where his presence was a source of friendship and encouragement to all who knew him.
Among Grady's many accomplishments, he was especially proud of his family. He valued the profound connections he shared and held family as his greatest achievement and legacy.
Grady is survived by his cherished wife of 73 years, Gloria Poole; daughter, Candy Holliday (Ken); grandchildren, Lindsay Long (Justin), Matt Holliday(Katelin) and Brad Holliday(Kayla); great-grandchildren, Landon Holliday, Judson Holliday, Grady Holliday, Georgia Fay Long, Emery Holliday, Max Holliday, Collins Holliday, and Ellie Holliday.
In addition to his parents, Grady is preceded in death by his brothers, Cliff Poole and Tommy Poole; and sisters, Jeanette Land, Inez Fesco, and Fay Hunnicutt.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at Duckett - Robinson Funeral Home, located at 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, SC 29630. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Oconee Memorial Park, Seneca, SC.
Memorials may be made in honor of Grady to Collins Children’s Home of Seneca, SC, or a charity of your choice.
