Gregory "Greg" Thomas Ellison

Gregory “Greg” Thomas Ellison, 63, of Easley, South Carolina passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at his home.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Rev. James Thomas “Tommy” Ellison and Christine Ellison. Greg spent 11 years with the Greer Police Department and another four years with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Greg was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church for 23 years. He loved shooting guns and was a master marksman. Greg loved his coffee, watching Western movies, and was very knowledgeable of history. Despite his physical disabilities, he had a servant's heart and dedicated his life to taking care of his grandkids. His sense of humor brightened everyone’s day no matter what.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Ellison; a daughter, Shannon Frazier (Joshua); sisters, Phyllis Renee Sellman (Gary), Angela Crystal Watson; grandchildren, Jozlyn, Riley, Finley, Avenly; and a special cousin Nathan Serritt (Miranda).

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Victory Chapel Baptist Church in Greenville at 9 S Pine Lake Cir, Greenville, SC 29605.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the Church before the service.
