Grethel Mae Thomas Brown, 76, of 420 Central Road and widow of Rev. Lendsey Smith Brown, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Hart County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Nezbar F. and Austria Kirkland Thomas. Grethel was a retired textile employee and a member of Emmanuel Full Gospel Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are a son, Randy Brown (Melissa) of Central; two daughters, Sandra Hooper of Easley and Lisa Claytor (Paul) of Salem; brother, Franklin Thomas of Anderson; 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
There will be no formal services held.
