Grover C. Parham

Grover Cleveland Parham, 95, of 106 East Shore Drive, died Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Oconee Memorial Hospital.
Born in Spartanburg, the son of the late John F. and Katie Bell Parham, Mr. Parham was owner of Parham's Steel Service in Greenville from 1945 to 1970, and was a member of Earles Grove Baptist Church. He was a Mason for over fifty years having served with Hammerton Lodge in Charleston and the Greenville Lodge in Greenville. Mr. Parham was a member of the Hejaz Shrine Temple and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Charleston.
Surviving are his wife, Aleene Louise Green Parham of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, David Elliott and Nancy Parham of Fair Play; a daughter and son-in-law, Janet Maureen and Randy Rollins of Fair Play; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
On June 6, 2006, Aleene and Grover celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary having married on June 6, 1931.
Memorial services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 16, 2006, at Earles Grove Baptist Church.
